Raffi’s Way Villa Review (Tagaytay, Philippines)

Tagyatay has always been top-of-mind when it comes to quick escapes from Manila. Just under a 2-hour drive from The Philippines’ capital, you get to enjoy the cool breeze, fresher air, and the gorgeous Taal view. However, I would usually just frequent this city for day trips or for stopovers when heading to the beaches of Batangas…until I found a reason to stay.

RAFFI’S WAY.

I was invited to stay over this home away from home and for a house this big, I surely can’t enjoy this all on my own. Calling, friends.

Making sure that we will be well-fed and well-quenched, we bought our supplies at SNR Nuvali — sushi, roast chicken, mozzarella sticks, eggs, an assortment of cheese and cold cuts, and more than enough wine we’ll ever need for the night. There’s no corkage fee but there’s no food there either so stock up before you check in.

and VOILA.

If you haven’t seen my villa tour video on Raffi’s Way, please scroll back up, have a look, and let me properly tour you around this gorgeous rustic chic villa.

All done? Let me break it down for you now.

Raffi’s Way has FOUR bedrooms and it’s good for 12 to 15 persons.

  1. The Master Suite

It has a queen-sized bed with a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking Taal lake and the Taal Volcano. With more than enough space to squeeze in an extra mattress, you can sneak in more roomies with you.

Speaking of roomies, make sure you’re comfortable with them because the bathroom is out in the open…unless you ask them to turn their backs while you bathe serenely in the suite’s freestanding bathtub. The toilet and shower room are a little more private, don’t worry.

2. Deluxe Room 1

Just across the Master Suite is a deluxe room with a queen-sized bed and a bathroom.

3. Deluxe Room 2

For those who like their midnight snacks, the other deluxe room is right beside the kitchen. It’s a little hidden which makes it easier for you to sneak in a snack or two! 😉 It also has its own bathroom and a queen-sized bed.

4. Family Room

Taking another flight of stairs going down, you’ll be entering the Family Room. This room has a queen-sized bed and 2 single beds with pullouts. Should you need more mattresses in this room too, the room’s space can surely accommodate it. The toilet has its own room inside the family room but the shower area is just a sliding door away from the single beds. It gets cold showering in here. haha.

The Living Room

Raffi’s Way has a rustic chic vibe about it with an aesthetically-pleasing balance of white and wood. The living room is perhaps the most beautiful part of the villa with a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the Taal lake and volcano and a sunroof to let more light in.

The Dining Room

Just beside the living room is an open dining area that can seat 11 persons.

The Kitchen

Pool parties are made more convenient with a kitchen access from the pool. This fully-equipped kitchen has all you need to prep up a proper meal and set up your table. Kitchen equipment includes cooking and eating utensils, electric stove, rice cooker, microwave, refrigerator, oven, pots and pans, and glassware.

Private Swimming Pool and Garden

Fancy a dip with a view? Raffi’s way’s landscape is a view in itself and it certainly makes you feel like you’re enveloped around nature while splashing in the changing colors of the pool. It also has tanning beds nearby overlooking the Taal lake and volcano.

Rooftop Access

The whole rooftop is safe to walk on and if you think that your view from the inside is good already, oh boy, you should see it from here!

Garage

The garage can fit up to 4 cars and the whole villa is protected by a tall gate and security personnel.
